Now It’s Your Turn

A sign on the back of a truck lists off reasons to vote for the Democratic Party.Great speeches like those of San Antonio Mayor Juilian Castro, Elizabeth Warren, First Lady Michelle Obama, and former President Bill Clinton culminated in an overwhelming response to President Obama’s acceptance speech this past week.

Three watch parties in Denton County, hosted by DCDP members, packed the house and folks are calling our office to volunteer in many capacities. Volunteers are registering voters, making phone calls, offering to give rides to the polls, donating money, and using signs  on their vehicles to show their support.

It is just as crucial a time to support our state and local candidates, who, if elected, would be in a position to support the President’s agenda to keep America moving forward. Representing Democrats in Denton County are:

David Sanchez for U.S. Congress, District 26

Tim Rusk for U.S. Congress, District 24

Mary Brown for State House,  District 64

Gary Brown for State House,   District 65

Kenneth Williams for Constable, Precinct 6
