2022 Vote By Mail Instructions

Mail-in ballots and applications for mail-in ballots are being rejected at alarming rates due to voter suppression laws.

How to Request Application for Vote By Mail Ballot

Please follow these instructions so your application to vote by mail will be accepted.

  1. Download and print your application to vote by mail.

  2. Submit your completed application via mail, fax, or in person. (Instructions below.)

  3. While the application requests you provide either a driver’s license/Texas identification OR a social security number, we recommend you provide BOTH. This is the number one reason application requests are being denied.

  4. Once you receive your mail-in ballot, complete it as soon as possible and either mail it back to your Early Voting Clerk or hand deliver it to their office on Election day.

  5. Applications to vote by mail can be made no earlier than 60 days before an election and no fewer than 11 days before the election. You can request on your application to receive a ballot for all elections throughout the year.
